The “yellow” Agnes


  • 4 eggs
  • 150g butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup grated walnuts
  • lemon pill
  • baking soda
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • vanilla powder

As a start separate the egg white from the yolk and put in a two different bowls. Mix well with a blender the egg white and the sugar. Then add the butter and slowly continue mixing. At the end add the grated walnuts, the flour with the baking soda, and the lemon pill while continue mixing with a spoon.

Place the dough in a baking pan covered with baking paper and then put in a preheated oven (180º) for a 30 minutes.

Mix the egg yolk with the icing sugar and the vanilla untill it becomes a yellow cream. Take the dessert out of the oven and while is still hot put the yellow cream on top and bring back to the oven, only this time the oven should be cooler (50º). Leave for a few minutes – no more than 10, until the glaze is dry and ready.

Once the “yellow” Agnes dessert is chilled cut into small pieces and serve.
