A classic yogurt cake that will full your tummy and instead of counting carbs you can enjoy all the light mixing flavours. It is perfect end of your evening, or maybe while having your early afternoon coffee, even as a breakfast on the lazy weekends. Just try it…
Ingredients: the measurement depends of the baking shape you going to use
- 2 cups yogurt
- 3 cups sugar
- 4 cups flour
- 1 cup sunflower oil
- 4 eggs
- lemon pill
- One dry yeast
- icing sugar for garnish
Preparation:
In a large bowl mix well the sugar and the eggs, add the yogurt and the sunflower oil and continue mixing. Grade a lemon pill into the mix, and the yeast and the slowly add the sifted flour. Continue mixing the ingredients until you have a homogeneous mixture. Cover the baking shape with a bit butter and a spoon of flour, otherwise you cake will be stick to the baking pan. Slowly add the cake mix in the shape and bake in preheated oven (180 degrees) for 35-40 min.
Once the cake is ready (you can check if it is baked with a toothpick – pierce the dough and if the toothpick is dry then your cake is ready) get it out of the oven and once is chilled top up with a icing sugar.
